Folic acid is necessary for DNA and RNA synthesis, which is essential for the growth and reproduction of all body cells. A deficiency may result in vitamin B12 deficiency and premature grey hair.
Vitamin C is essential to the immune system and strengthens blood vessels. A deficiency may lead to swollen or painful joints, muscle weakness and capillary weakness.
Vitamin E helps supply oxygen to the blood which the heart may use to alleviate fatigue. A deficiency may lead to degenerative changes in the heart. It is also a powerful antioxidant.
Manganese helps in the production of energy and is necessary for the metabolism of vitamin B1 and vitamin E.
Trace minerals are essential for absorbing nutrients.
Magnesium plays an important role in helping to maintain heart function. Magnesium is depleted when the body is under stress. It's also necessary for proper calcium and vitamin C metabolism.
*Combined, all of these "nerve nutrients" play vital roles in helping nerves remain stabilized, healthy and calm. Balancing the nervous system may help improve many conditions.
