"Mysterious" Injuries
There are injuries beyond falls to be aware of. Periodically, a patient will sustain serious injury in a hospital room and no one seems to be able to give an accounting of how it happened. A simple fall is not usually the explanation in these cases. Some of my investigations have uncovered gross incompetence with a reckless disregard for safety, while others pointed to criminal assault. Three case histories come to mind, with different explanations. |
