The last two questions asking what the nurse would do to prevent falls and bedsores are crucial matters in that there are several risk factors pertaining to both of those common life-threatening incidents. The nurse must identify the risk factors and devise a plan of care designed to prevent such occurrences. Moreover, we cannot leave prevention to staff members alone. The consumers must participate in an open dialogue with staff pertaining to the risks and care plans.
