What is in the Nu-Zymes formula?
Nu-Zymes includes only the highest quality ingredients in its formulation. It provides a unique blend of powerful digestive enzymes in one capsule to help increase nutrient absorption by the body and to help decrease occasional digestive disturbances.
Every capsule of Nu-Zymes contains Amylase, Protease, Lactase, Lipase, Cellulase, Acidophilus and CereCalase™. All the enzymes are plant derived from non-allergenic plants. Nu-Zymes contains no corn, wheat, dairy, gluten, soy, sugar, salicylates or casein. This formula is natural and safe for both children and adults to take daily.
*Amylase: digests carbohydrates, sugars and starches in the body. Amylase digests carbohydrates into smaller units for easier digestion. This enzyme also helps break down starches into usable energy.
*Protease: breaks down proteins in the body. This is very important to building and repairing muscles (including the heart). This enzyme helps liberate the amino acids in the food.
*Lactase: digests the milk sugar lactose. Lactase breaks down lactose, or milk sugars, which can cause malabsorption and physical discomfort such as cramping, bloating, gas and diarrhea. Lactase, which is naturally supplied by the body decreases in production after childhood. This is why many adults find that they become lactose intolerant seemingly overnight.
*Lipase: the fat digester. Nu-Zymes contains a lot of lipase. Lipase deficiency results in only a partial breakdown of fats which can cause the formation of triglycerides. Lipase is also responsible for helping the body burn fat for energy, breaking down fat soluble vitamins and helping the body properly use essential fatty acids.
*Cellulase: breaks down fibers. Cellulase is the only enzyme the human body does not manufacture itself. Although you may be eating a high-fiber diet, the fiber does not benefit the body unless it is broken down. Nu-Zymes has an abundant supply of cellulase.
*Acidophilus: a friendly bacteria. Your body needs acidophilus to fight off infections and yeast while boosting your immune system. It provides a stable environment for enzymes to work.
*CereCalase™ is a special blend of 3 enzymes: phytase, hemicellulase and beta-glucanase. These enzymes work to release fiber-bound nutrients and increase mineral absorption by breaking down the anti-nutritive factors. Phytase digests phytate, which is a mineral-binding agent that reduces the bio-availability of certain minerals such as zinc, iron and calcium. Hemicellulase is a group of enzymes that breaks down the complex polysaccharides known as hemicellulose, sticky compounds that bind digestive enzymes, decreasing the rate of assimilation. Beta-glucanase breaks down soluble fibers found in various plants.
